The science rooms and lab. Were a marvel of construction she thought running her hand gently over the lab tables. Everything was familiar, yet she couldn't quiet remember everything. She thought taking her time to look around and investigating everything. Reacquainting herself with everything that was in the room. From the lab coats to the well stocked shelves, and small refrigerator, which did include a freezer section for storing certain things that needed to be held at much lower temperatures. The stainless steal sinks and glass beakers. All of it was clean and shinning as if it was there just waiting for her. She thought letting a light smile drift over her lips.
It was odd at times how comfortable she felt in such surroundings. When most would be out shopping or taking nature walks she was more at home with sterile lab equipment. “I've missed you.” She said quietly to the room. Knowing that she would have to return when she had more time. To run tests. The thought occurred to her that she wanted to know more about her roommate as well. She would have to remember to ask the girl if she could barrow some hair. A DNA test would be challenging and give her better insight into what made the girl tick. She thought even as she remembered her coffee cup. It was chilled now. Having sat forgotten on a lab table as she investigated the room. She moved to the microwave in one corner. Designed for many uses, she thought placing her cup in it and setting it to warm.
“Ding”. It spoke after a minute. Letting her know it had done its job. Efficiently and effectively. She thought removing her cup and moving towards the door to return to her dorm room once more.
